Sound Simple...but it's not! Cut and Paste wont work...help!

IT won't let me cut and paste. The menu options are grey. Take a look at the screenshot:

I Agree with Cheech, but just for reference are you using shortcuts or right clicks? i have had times where Right Clicks don't work for the Copy or Cut part.... try using Shortcut Keys (CTRL+C = Copy; CTRL+X = CUT

I've used both shortcut and right click.

McLiguori pointed you in the right direction. choose the view as source of copy and then the same view to paste....split view is tricky depending where you click.
