Sound Preview in AE 5 1

Hi everybody,

I set up my new mac a few days ago and there s someting I do not understand in After effects 5. I actually can not preview sound and movie together.
I checked :

- Sound is on on the Timeline
- Sound is on on the Time Controls Panel
- I can hear my sound while clicking it in the project panel
- I hear the sound also while hitting control button

Anyone has an idea, a special trick in the preferences settings ?

My config is as follows :
- AE 5.5 on Mac OS x AND AE 5 on Mac OS 9. Both versions shows the same problem
- Dual G4 1 ghz new versions - 2 Gb RAM

You should be able to preview them together without doing anything special in prefs.

When you hit cntrl + return (if I remember correctly) you preview every other frame with audio.

hitting the space bar lets you preview just video, & hitting the period(I think ) previews audio. Now for that there is a setting in prefs that allows you to set how much of the audio you want to hear when you hit the period.

You were right. No need to set anything in prefs.

Actually, hitting 0 on num pad just made it ! Did not know this shortcut before but...
