hey guys I got another one that's stumping me.

I'm loading a MC in to a blank clip, within the clip is audio that is in sync with the video?

however, during testing, sometimes the audio is out of sync the video and plays much slower than the audio,

the main stage is set to 12 frame per second and so is the loaded clips?

any idea?

is this just one of those weird problems

here's the swf

Make sure you have your audio soundclips set to streaming. This lets you sync the visuals up with the audio. It also lets you hear your audio as you scroll across your timeline.
The only problem is that streaming audio cannot continue from scene to scene. In this case(I havent done this, but heard it can be done.) you create a movie with the entire clip as your streaming audio, and at frame 1 of your movie you load the audio.swf.
hope this helps.
I'd gladly pay you on Thursday

Kirderf,

You are correct... I always put my audio in a separate movie and load it in wherever I need it... it then pays no mind to what scene I am on in my main movie or anything at all. The only way to have complete control over it in my opinion. Ya' Gotta Love It!

I see, and yes this seems to work, however the quality of the audio is greatly reduced when set to streaming?

any ideas, I've long killed the wave files I made the mp3s from, do I need to recapture the audio as waves and start again with new files, just changing the setting in Flash doesn't seem to help?

quality is something that must be sacraficed to some degree in order to have audio on your site.

Streaming is a very viable option and from my experience the sound can be made to start within 15-20 seconds(or much less) and still be something you can live with. People do not expect CD quality sound from a flash site... just think back a few years when all the sites that had music sounded like music boxes... lots of them still around.

mp3 is your best bet for audio on the web at this time.
