Sound going out of sync

Hi everybody,
I've been a web animator for about 2 years now, and as I make more and more cartoons, they get longer and longer- But after a few minutes, the lip syncing starts to lag and it gets progressively worse as the cartoon plays on-
does anybody know of any special techniques that I can use to avoid this in the future (oh yeah my fps is 14)

You're using an audio stream and not an event, right?

yes i stream the audio, event is for buttons and stuff, right
