Sound from Left Speaker Only

Hello all,
Just got a new system:
Asus A7n8X Mobo
using the Nforce onboard sound and I only get sound from left speaker. I tested the speakers with my CD player and they are not the problem. I also tested headphones in the speaker jack and still only sound from left headphone. The balance controls are all set correctly. When I run the nForce control panel and do the speaker set up everything runs smoothly but still only on the left. Any ideas?

Hi,

Are the speakers/headphones plugged into the correct connector (the front speaker out one - coloured green) rather than the left hand one for surround sound speakers?
