Hello,

I'm completely new to Premiere. I've managed to import and AVI source clip, created several clips of it and inserted them into a sequence.

When I export the movie, it's fine and as I wanted. Except it has no sound.

The clips have been put from Monitor into Timeline by dragging & dropping (from the left screen Monitor into the Timeline) - there is an audio box below each clip, but not a single waveform (they are all empty).

Why is that and how to include audio from the original source AVI into the sequence?

Depending on the format you have chosen for export, you may need to select audio in the output settings.

If that's not it, what are the source clips? Unless they are DV AVI files you may need to convert them to that format.

The issue really was in the codecs used for source clips - thanks.

It is very helpful if full details are given in questions. Too many possibilities otherwise.
