Sound card works but No voulme control in tray 1

Does anyone know how to get the Volume Control (the yellow speaker) to show up in the Sys tray down next to the clock.

the sound works great and I can open the volume control from Accessories and it works too. but nothing shows up in the sys tray.

I'm not exactly sure it is the same in NT 4.0 as it is in Win2K, but it's going to be close enough you should be able to find it: Open control panels, and open Sounds and Multimedia (in Win 98, I think it's Multimedia). On Win2K, there is a check box at the bottom on the opening tab that says "Show volume control on the taskbar". Make sure that is checked!
