Sound card upgrade

Hello,

I recently changed my soundcard in my computer from a soundblaster64 to soundblaster live 5.1. It now takes an extra 3 minutes to boot windows 98. It is dual boot system with win 2k also but that still loads in the same time.
Can anyone explain this behaviour?

Obviously a software driver problem!
Remove all traces of the new and OLD drivers and install again.
If you still have a problem try downloading the latest 5.1 drivers off Creatives website, uninstall and reinstall again.
