I have a sound blaster pro 2 (I know it's a real old card but I need some sound) I can't find a manual for it anywhere I was just wondering if someone could find one for me on the internet...if not if someone could help me with the jumper settings. Im not sure what to set the Dack, DRQ, 22X, 24X and Irq to. Scotty Mac a.k.a smaxted

Try dack 1, dma 1, 220,240 irq 9
The dack, dma should be the same. If you change one,
change both. Do you have software for this card?

no I don't have the software for this card...I took it out of an older computer...one question..theres a mulitplyer jumper that either has 22X, 24X what should I set it at and what does that jumper do?

The 22x & 24x are addresses not multipliers.
You will need the software for this card. It will install
the device drivers as well as entries to the autoexec.bat & config.sys

What is the CT# on the chipset? ie:CT1600,CT17330

The chipset is ct1600...if a manual would be available for the jumper settings that would greatly help me! Scotty Mac a.k.a smaxted

I have a soundblaster setup disk...when I do the soundblaster tests from the disk I can her the music and the tests work from the disk. But when I try ctwave and windows it seems not to detect the card. Th sound card only has irq settings of 2,5,7,10 no 9 but I set the Dack and Drq to what mainegeek said. I cannot manually set dma and 220,240 Scotty Mac a.k.a smaxted

Look at your autoexec.bat and config.sys files and see what your install disk put in there for lines. ie: A220 D1 I5 etc... etc... make sure any jumpers on your card are set accordingly. You should be able to select diferent configurations through the combination of your sound card software and jumpers on the card. If you make changes on your card via jumpers, then run the software config to reflect the changes. This usually requires a system restart
to load the modified copies of the config.sys and autoexec.bat files. The DMA and the 220,240 can be selected
through the sound card software config program. Remember to
save settings when exiting the config program.
