I am using Flash with Dreamweaver, and I have an image with a hotspot. What I want to accomplish is on the downclick of the mouse I want a sound to occur. Does anyone have any ideas?

define hot spot? and if i'm guessing right all you have to do is create an image in flash..say a figure..and say you want the right arm to be the hot spot..you would create your vector image or if it is a bitmap break it apart..select the arm and convert to symbol make it a button..in the down state of the button put the sound you want to play..i reccomend the over state of the button unless there is a certain reason you want them to have to actually click the button..

Yes, a hotspot is a particular area of an image that would have a hyperlink attached to it.

Make a transparent button...Virt Proposed this to me one time when I couldn't get one of my buttons to fuction correctly when I went over it...in flash, import the image, and create a white button, go and edit the button and make it transparent...it might be a little hard to keep track of when its on your workspace, but if you put it in it's own layer, you can find it easy enough...hope this helps!

Now where's that cute little kitten? :-X

As for the invisibe button, when in button edit mode just make sure you have a key frame in the 'hit' area and nothing at all in the other frames. This will make it transparent but when you have it on the stage you will still be able to see it (but not when you publish or test movie). roda B-)
