I was attempting to install Mozilla and the required GNOME 1.4 GTK+ Libraries for HP-UX 11. Apparently the GNOME libraries errored during install, while the Mozilla install went OK.
I tried to reinstall using swinstall with the reinstall=true switch set, but I get an error that the reinstall option is not available from depot or root.
I tried to remove the software with swremove but I get an error that several of the installed files do not exist and therefore the software cannot be removed.
I tried to install without the reinstall=true but I get an error that the software is already installed and as a result cannot added. Use the reinstall option.
So.. I decided to manually remove the remaining installed files, depots everything.. but the software still shows up as being installed.
Where does HP-UX store the installation information?
I searched all of the sw*.logs and /.sw/session
I found the session file for the Mozilla install but not the GNOME GTK.
How can I wipe this clean for a new GNOME library install?
