SOS.....VB Script has taken over my machine. 1

Hi;

Last night something weird started happening to my Windows Me Operating system. For some reason ALL my media files (bmp jpg mp3) were all cahnged into 10K VB Script files.
It appears that all my pictures bitmaps and backrounds are gone.
Has anyone heard of such a thing happening and is there any way to restore my pictures from the vb script files.
Any help would be appreciated.

You have the VBS_LoveLetter Virus or some form of it. You need to scan your system
for viruses. Here is a link for a virus removal tool.

It was the Loveletter virus and the patch suggested by my fixit worked great.
