Hi, problem again. please help

There is a square which can move anywhere, there is a line in vertical direction, which can move from side to side. When they meet, the line shows in the square, when they don't hit, the line disappears. How can I do this???

My boss need it early today,.. I am worried..

Thanks for help!

Put the square layer on top of the line, and line them up, right click on the layer with the square over it, and select 'mask' from the window that pops up...I THINK that will lead you in the direction your looking to go...I'm not sure though. ----------------------------------------

Now where's that cute little kitten? :-X

thanks,i will try. But the problem is that I already have a mask between Square and the background. Can I do multi masks??

I think white is right about this being a masking technique... I just wrote a tutorial on masking yesterday in the following post...check it out and maybe we can modify it a little to fit your need...let me know.

cool...you already know how to mask...that is a good thing I would say... I think multi masking is probably possible.... I don't know that I have ever done it but we can give it a shot and see how it goes... Ya' Gotta Love It!

I've seen multi-masking done...I'm like 95% sure it can be... ----------------------------------------

try inserting a layer between your square layer and the background... that way the square would be the mask and it would show the line as well as trhe background behind it as long as both layers are indented under the mask. Ya' Gotta Love It!

sorry...got a little trigger happy on that one.... insert the layer like I said and then put the moveable line on that center layer. Ya' Gotta Love It!
