SOS !!! Protect mail server from spam mail attack !

Hi everybody,
I have just found out my mail server is attacked with a load of spam mails. But I don't know how to protect it now. Please tell me the way to deal with this issue. Or Please give me some ways you have already done with your mail server to protect it from spam attack.

This depends on what mailserver you're running. For example, you could look at this for procmail -->

http://www.spambouncer.org/

. For sendmail you could start by looking at -->

http://www.sendmail.org/m4/anti-spam.html

Think about strict relaying and the rbl option
for sendmail. If I get a crap email I automate a process
to rehash access.db with a 550 "you are screwed: RBL next
message." I don't have much trouble afterwards, nobody wants to be blackholed.
