(SOS) Problem with Microsoft Outlook with attachments

Hi,
I have MSOutlook 2000 installed. I have a problem. I am not getting any mail which is having attachements. I tried to send a mail to myself from the same profile with a attachment. Even then, I am not able to get it. The mail however is visible in the sent items. There is no problem whatsoever with send / receive without any attachment. Please help SOS....

What types of attachments? Depending on service pack, etc, .exe .bat .com files are blocked automatically by Outlook. Docs or zipped files will come through okay.

Any type of attachements. In fact I tried sending a simple doc file to myself. It just vanished into the black hole...
