sorting subreport by parameter from main report

does anyone know if this is possible? Just to clarify I don't want to select records in my subreport based on my parameter as there is other info I want to see in the subreport. But I want to sort and drop the parameter into the first field and then display the rest.

Is this possible? Thanks.

Meaning that you want to pass the name of the field to sort by, or?

Do you mean that you want to create a field which is a sorted list of a multiple parameter?
