Hi all!

I am using Crystal Reports XI and I am having a problem with sorting. I would like to sort my report by zipcode and then by MemberID. However, since I have my report is grouped by MemberID, the record sort wizard isn't letting me sort by zipcode first. It is showing that I have to sort by MemberID first. Does anyone know how I would be able to sort by zipcode first?

Thanks.
Danielle

Insert a group on zipcode and drag it in design mode so that it is group #1 (or use the arrow key in the group expert to toggle it into first position). Groups always have priority over sort fields.

Sounds like you're new to databases.

If you group by an entity, then almost all databases will also sort by that entity.

So you might group by the zip code first, then then the member ID to resolve.

If this doesn't work, try posting basic technical information:

Database/connectivity used
Example data
Expected output
