Hello everybody,

I created a report in Crystal Reports 7. I connected the report to a CRM-system which is only compatible with CR7. A client-version of CR7 is included with the CRM-system.

I want the data in this report sorted in a special way. To achieve that, I manually adjusted the SQL-query.
When I view the report in Crystal Reports itself, everything works just fine. But when I view the report trough the CRM-system, it's sorted in a completely wrong way.

Can anybody tell me what the problem is here, and how I can fix it? Has it something to do with client-version of CR, or should I use a different way to sort the data?

Thanks for your help!

Michael

I think the CRM system is probably altering the SQL when viewing the report.

Open the report in Crystal Reports and goto Report > Record Sort Expert and choose the sort from there. This will embed the sorting within the report rather than within the SQL.
