Hi,

Let's say I have a list of numbers.

The numbers range from 001 to 099.

When I come to sort the extracted data from a query it won't sort them in Asc or Desc order... it appears as if it's just reading the first digit (which is a '0') and deciding that the list is sorted ok.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there a way around it....

Thanks...

is the field where the values are in a character field or an integer ??

it should be a character field since there are leading 0's. it shouldn't be a problem then
