I created a Service History Report in Crystal.I have made two groupings. 1st group is the customer code then 2nd is the per plate no. I need to get his last service date (I used formula here to get the maximum date) and so its done.Is it possible for me to sort the records according to the last service date regardless of the groupings that I made (my topmost group is the customer code).

Example DATA:

CUSTOMER PLATE NO LAST SERVICE DATE
AYALA LAND CORP WDY123 08/01/2003
AYALA LAND CORP PVB125 04/25/2001
GARDENIA BAKERS ADC526 6/24/1999
KMO CORP PVB890 5/20/2001

I WANT THE OUTPUT TO BE:

CUSTOMER PLATE NO LAST SERVICE DATE
GARDENIA BAKERS ADC526 6/24/1999
AYALA LAND CORP PVB125 04/25/2001
KMO CORP PVB890 5/20/2001
AYALA LAND CORP WDY123 08/01/2003

You should be able to go to report->topN and then select "All" and "maximum of {table.servicedate}." This should order the groups by date.

I did that already but nothing happens.Does it has something to do with the formula that I created in getting the last service date my formula is

Maximum ({iromast.irodate},{iromast.plateno})

No, that shouldn't be a problem. In topN, make sure that you have done the sort in the Group 2 (Plate) tab, not the Group 1 (customer) tab.
