Hi:

I have a group which is a formula that concatenates
2 fields:
{SRMIS_REQUEST.CC_SYSTEM_APPLICATION} & " / " & {SRMIS_REQUEST.CC_SYSTEM_APPLICATION_F}

I am sorting by this group and the result is:
NAT. HRDC JOB BANK ENVIRONMENT (JOB BANK)
JOB BANK (KIOSK) / GUICHET-EMPLOIS (KIOSQUE)
ASGARD T27 EMULATOR (ATE) / ÉMULATEUR
BEYONDMAIL 3.5 - (BMAIL) / BEYONDMAIL 3.5
JOB BANK FOR EMPLOYERS / GUICHET EMPLOIS POUR
NETSCAPE (ENTERPRISE SERVER) / NETSCAPE
CANADIAN GOVERNMENT ANNUITIES (CGA) / RENTES
EI APPLI-VIEW / EI APPLI-VIEW
EI APPLI-WEB / EI APPLI-WEB

and the rest is alpabetically correct but the first 6 records are not correct. Does anyone understand why this might be happening.

ANy help would be appreciated

These probably have space characters in front of the name.
Try the TrimLeft () function to eliminate spaces on the left of the field. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
