im having trouble to get my table to sort to how i want it to. i want to sort ascending the total points and if the total points are equal then sort out the equals into ascending order on goals scored. im trying to create a footbal league table.

If:

First row is headings ONLY.
Second row begins standings and each row represents one "record".
No blank rows.
No blank columns.

Then:

Click anywhere in data.
Hit Data-Sort.
Choose "has header row".
First "sort-by" is Total Points.
Second "sort-by" is Goals.

If you have long headings that you are currently putting in two or more cells, put them in one cell and hit Alt-Enter to make your text drop to the next line within the SAME cell. (Don't use more than one row for your headings.) dreamboat@nni.com

How are you trying to sort them at the moment? In the SORT option you can choose the first sort criteria, then the second and assign them to different columns.
