sorting default for date and date/time fields

Currently, my version of Crystal Reports defaults to sorting dates "for each week". I have rarely used this option, typically I sort by day. Once in awhile, I have forgotten to change this on new reports, leading to odd looking date sorts.

I have been unable to find where to change this so that it defaults to "for each day". Anyone know where this option is hidden, if available?

In XI, there is no way that I know of to change this as the default.
