sorting columns horizontal in excel and create a vertical output 1

I have the following excel layout

JOHN TED JOHN TED TED JOHN TED JOHN TED
8.5 4 8 11 12 48 84 8 4

I want to sorted in alpha and results are below:

John 8
JOhn 8.5
john 48
John 8
Ted 4
Ted 12
Ted 84

Copy the data, then in any row below your data (leave a blank row between the original data and where you paste), go to Edit > Paste Special then tick the box beside Transpose. Now just sort as normal.

THANK YOU, YOU HAVE SAVE me A LOT OF STEPS. What I did before I would take the entire row and save it in a .csv and paste it into Word and replace all the commas with Carriage Return. ( These are several steps )
