I have a work sheet with 5000 part numbers on it and I only want the part numbers that have 7 characters in it. How would I go about removing or sorting on this so I can delete out the other parts?

Write a formula to determine the length of the part number:
=LEN(A1)

Copy this formula for all 5000 records. Now sort both columns so the ones with length of 7 are together.

Do what you need to do from there.
