Sorting and printing?

Hello all,

Actually two questions here both tro do with reports.

1. is it possible for me to set the sorting order of a column in a report, besides using the acending and decending order built in?

2. When ever the report is printed I would like to have the recordset that was printed amended in one column. the column to be amended would be RCST?

The answer to the sorting issue, depends on what you are attempting to do. I've created special sorts by using a query and adding a field where I add what ever special feature that I want and sort on that field.

As for the amending... if this is something that can be done when the report is being printed, you can add code to the Detail's On Format Event to do conditional formatting.

Do you mean that you ant the report to load up automatically with either ascending or descending or by another type of sort?

I have not done the sorting yet. My staff has not yet confirmed what column they want sorted and how they want it sorted.
