Sorting and grouping problem

When I first used a report without sorting and grouping I could print the report. I then entered a field and sort order in the "sorting and grouping" box and it still produced the report with correct sorting. I then decided not to sort, and deleted the field , but could not delete the "sort order" from the "sorting and grouping" box, and that is where I am today. I cannot print the report without sorting; as Access demands that something be entered into the sort field in the "sorting and grouping" box. Is there some way to disable "sorting and grouping" ???

You can delete all sorting and grouping levels. It may be that you haven't deleted the Sort Order. Delete the Ascending or Descending.

I can delete the field, but when I try to delete the sort order, it seems to delete, but actually does not. When I reopen the form in design view the field has gone, but "Ascending" remains in the SORT ORDER and this is the problem!

Click the selector button to the left of the boxes and press the delete key.
