Sorting a report based on a .txt file

I have created a report based on a .txt file, but it doesn't allow me to sort on any 'char' field, only integer fields.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
It is probably reading these as Memo fields which means it somehow thinks they are over 255 Characters. See the FAQ for an explanation and post again if this doesn't point you in the right direction. How long are the fields? Ken Hamady
