Hi all,

I have created a stacked column graph which shows the scrap rates of each part# as it goes through different processes:

Mach 1 2 3
Part
11 1% 2% 1%
12 4% 1% 1%

My question is: How can I sort the graph by the total scrap rate? For the example above I would like Part#12 the first part shown on the graph.

Thanks.

Hi,

Shouldn't you SORT the source data?

Do you have a query generating your source data?

Hi SkipVought,

Here's a brief summary of what is happening:

The plant is divided into multiple areas (say A, B and C)Within each area is a set of machines which are numbered so that machines 1, 2 and 3 are in A, while 4, 5 and 6 are in B etc. I have a query that calculates the scrap rate for each part ( z, x and y) on each machine. From this I've created a stacked column graph which creates the total scrap rate (TSR) for each part in the area in which it was run.

What I want to do is sort the graph by the TSR. Do I need to make a query for each of A, B and C or is there an easier way?

I dont believe that your CHART creates TSR.

How is TSR created?

The TSR is calculated as a total in the crosstab query the chart is based on.

You actually helped me with it yesterday graphing it yesterday [thumbsup2]

Use that crosstab query as the source of another query -- sort by TSR.
