sort string field in recordset

If a string field begins with numbers, the result has to be as if it's an integer field.
 
then you need to parse the field to seperate the numerics from the alphabetics. There is a recent thread on this subject. I think the originator was elziko. I contributed a routine to parse the field and do the sort. It was NOT exctly your situation, but would give you a clue.
