sort running total

I am using crystal xi. How can I sort on a running total field ? Is it possible ? I want to show the top 10 spending amounts for a group of vendors.

You can't sort on a running total, because Crystal handles sorting before it calculates the running totals. A summary total would allow it, see FAQ767-6524 if you're not already familiar with them.

You might be able to do something using TopN.

Can you explain why you are using running totals? How is the running total set up?
