Is there any way to get the records sorted while the table is still open? I have an Access table and I would like my records to be sorted while I am updating the table. I have made my primary key indexed to be sorted in Ascending Order. I noticed that the data gets sorted only after I close the table and open it back up again. The records doesn't get sorted automatically as I update my table. I just would like to know if there's really a way to have the sorting done automatically without me having to close and open the table, or without choosing the field and clicking on the sort record button. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

no buddy u can sort the record while ur table is open and while u are making an update statement

Hi:

Just put the cursor in the field you want to sort on: then click on the A-Z down arrow or the Z-A down arrow.

I hope this is helpful.[/tt] Gus Brunston [glasses] An old PICKer, using Access2000
