hi all,

We are using the file adapter to process multiple files. Is it possible to give the file adapater some kind of sort-order? By example sorting by name or sorting by datetime?

With regards,

Jos Aikema

No. Not directly. If you use the batch or shell (depending on OS) adapter to do a dir or ls with options to create a list of files in the order you want, you can pass the list to a RUN map to process in the order you want.

Haven't needed to do much of this but you can sort up/down but you can't assigne specific fields/columns to sort on when working with flat files.

It's a simple sort ordering by reading the records left to right.
