The default order for the DSS tiles has always matched the last name field.

I recently replaced a 5550 on a site that had the DSS tiles sorted and displayed in First name First even though the programming on the MCD was properly imput First Name / last name

The site was not using the ADF method of displaying.

I've search high and low for any setting that might allow this.

This would be worth several stars I believe if anyone knows a method of doing this.

Hi

Just a thought are these BLF and not DSS ? it's just terminology but not sure the 5550 console has DSS entries although the BLF entries on a 5550 act just like DSS keys on IP phones? If so the sort order can be manipulated as below

To add, remove, or reposition entries in the BLF List
1. Select the entry.
To select consecutive entries, click the first one, press and hold
down SHIFT, and then click the last one.
To select non-consecutive entries, hold down CTRL while you
click individual entries.
To search for an entry, type all or part of the name in the Find
Names starting with box.
2. Do any of the following:
• Click Add to add the selection to the top of the BLF list, or
Remove to delete it.
• Click Move Up or Move Down repeatedly until the selection
is in the desired position.
• To quickly move an entry, hold the mouse button down on
the Move Up or Move Down button.
3. Click OK.

Yes I know how to re-order them

It is more than that, the names actually display first name first on the DSS tiles, without the comma

When we installed the first replacement console and were setting it up the names on the DSS tiles came in as Last name first with a comma then first name.

These consoles are using the same source but the DSS keys are displaying differently. There is obviously a setting to change this.
