How would you script a sort to stay at or come back to a viewed record after sorting? ie your viewing a record of john doe in the middle of a found set then to scroll thru records from that point sorted by zip, or name etc starting from wherever in the records that records (John Doe) falls

Suppose your records have a unique Serial_Number. First define a global (number): gSerial_Number. Define a self relationship based upon the fields gSerial_Number and Serial_Number. Two scripts are then needed:
1. Remember the current record: Set field[gSerial_Number, Serial_Number]
To return to that record after a sort for instance:
2. Go to Related Record [Self Relationship]

Hope this helps.
