Sort Formula Fields

Hi ,

I am calcuating the forumla fields which is as below,

@totalvalue={orderdetail.quantity}*{orderdetail*price}

I want to sort on the formula field @total value for each order.How can I do it in crystal?

Any help is really appreciated.

On the menu, click [Report] and select [Sort Records]. Your formula should be there as an item to select.

I assume Crystal 8.5, versions matter and it's useful to state it so that no one recomends a solution that your version of Crystal does not have.

Hi ,

This below formulas are working fine and I could sort on such formulas.
@totalvalue={orderdetail.quantity}*{orderdetail*price}

The only problem is when i have a formula which is having summary information in the formulas it is not coming in Report > Sorting. Is there any why we can evaluate these formulas before printing on crystal report?

To sort on summary formulas, use the TopN/Sort group expert.
