Sort by subject in folders on 8.0.1 client

I can sort by subject in my inbox, sent mail, trash, etc. but not in any of my folders and there doesn't seem to be an option to change this. I know I can change the design of the folder but I don't want to have to do this.
We're running a pilot of Notes 8 and this has been raised by numerous people already.
Any help would be appreciated.

It works in my 8.0.2 client - I know there were some bug fixes from 8.0.1 to 8.0.2, maybe this was one of them.

Really? That's weird. Most of our pilot group are on 8.0.1 but I have the 8.0.2 client and the problem exists on both.

Folders were created with an older version of Notes, upgrade folder design and everthing's rosy!
