I own a small business which sends out less than 50 individual email messages daily, which have been rejected from some servers recently.
An RBL search shows that ATT secondary blocks 71.131.xx.xxx and 71.132.xxx.xxx are on both the Sorbs and the QTM cube rbl's.
After two days of support wrangling I got the following message from ATT Policy dept:
(Godaddy, the hosting company, says this is not an exchange server.)
Logic would indicate that if Sorbs et al have blocked segments of the server, then ATT has a mess they need to but are not willing to clean up (or that they just don't understand the problem, which is another kettle of fish.)
A subsequent contact to ATT indicates that I a) need to use the ATT assigned address in order not to be blocked, or b) if I wish to continue to use my own business address, I must transfer hosting from Godaddy to ATT.
My gut feeling is that this is bogus, but I come to you in search of enlightenment. Your profound wisdom and insight will as always be thoroughly appreciated.
Is there a complaint instance to which I can direct this issue? ATT is the only act in town in San Francisco.
