New pc out of box, windows vista business expands ok and wireless network connections are available.

After removing Norton and other preinstalled software not required and installing latest updates no wireless networks can then be found. The list is empty.

Have tried updating to latest drivers on the wireless card but no joy.

Any idea's ?

Debbie

Does the Vaio have a physical button that turns on and off the wireless card? I sometimes accidentally bump mine on my Toshiba...

Ditto the above, also have you accidentally removed any third party Wireless software in your clean out?

Thanks for your responses, Vaio all up and working now after the 3rd wipe and physically moving within the premises, premises it was being setup in seems to have a wireless black spot, move Vaio 4ft and can see all routers ok, wireless card in Vaio must be more sensitive as don't have problem with IBM ThinkPad in the same premises.

Once again thanks.
