I have a Sony Vaio PCG-F350 that will run fine in Safe Mode but as soon as Win98 starts to load it goes into hibernation and the video shuts off after less that 40 seconds. It can only be awaken up by holding the power button down and restarting...which starts the cycle all over again . It seems to start and never fully loads the OS before crashing ...

Please Help..

If the problem happened within the last 5 days, then press and hold the Ctrl key during startup, select 'Command prompt only' from the startup menu using the arrow keys, press Enter, at the C:\> prompt type scanreg /restore (make sure you put a space after scanreg), press Enter, select a Registry that predates the problem, and press Enter.

If the problem happened longer than 5 days ago or the above does not work, then uninstall and reinstall the video card's drivers.
