Sony Vaio Laptop Recommedations & Advice

I want to upgrade my Sony Vaio Notobook memory and add an cdrw drive. I'm confused about the memory, do the laptop only have 1 slot for memory? I have 128 MB installed, need to upgrade to 256MB. Would I need to buy another 128MB or 256MB? Also, I want to add an cdrw drive, can I add an external cdrw drive which will work via USB 2.0? I just need to know how to upgrade the notebook.

OS: Windows XP
CPU: Pentium III

I wouldn't bet on it, but I am almost sure it has only 2 memory slots.
I am sure you could add an external cdrw drive via USB 2.0, assuming your Vaio is using USB 2.

What you should do though, is just go to the Sony website and check these things yourself. All you need is your Vaio's model number, and obviously you have it.
In the worst case scenario you could give them a call and get all your answers that way too.
