I have a Sony VIAO desktop PCV RS100 desktop and I want to swap the CD ROM that it came with for a DVD ROM that I had in my old desktop. I have the Sony opened and there appears to be a cage that can be removed but I see no clear way to do this. This cage contains the CD, DVD Burner, and Floppy drive. Sony's Website does not have info on how this cage comes out unless I missed it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the sony.. but have you had BOTH sides off of the case and also the FRONT and TOP. I've seen cases that had screws under either one the front or top. Check both and see (front first).

is the cage made of plastic, does it 'snap' into slots?
if metal it's probably screw connected.
