Hi all,

I'm looking to replace a sony sdt9000 with an hpdat40i. I'm guessing that the sdt9000 is an 68pin scsi. All I can see on the hp site is that the hpdat40i is an UW scsi 2.

I'm going to put it in a 3rd old server, PIII500.

Any guesses that the connections will be the same?

I'm not really up to speed with the whole scsi thing, I do know that older scsi have terminators on the cable (which the server does) but newer scsi devices don't need them, right?

I know this is a bit vague, but any help would be really appreciated.
