SONY SDT-7000/9000 NOT WORKING IN HP9000 E45 M/C

I am stucked up with Sony SDT-7000/9000 drive while
installing in HP 9000 E45 machine with HP-UX 10.20/11.0.
DDs drive is getting detected by os, but not able to read/write using tar/cpio commands. While reading/writing
using tar command, it fails with reporting 'cannot open /dev/rmt/0m'. HP DDS drives (DDS-1/2/3)are working fine in the machine.
