Sony Clie

I am having trouble with Windows 98 and 2000 in finding the PDA in anyway. I thought it was the cradle but that has been replaced. It is a USB cradle and the PDA was bought in the US (am based in the UK). Any ideas would be appreciated.

Do you mean for Data Synchronization or for uploading files/mp3s to the Memory Stick?

No, the OS wouldn't recognise that there was a PDA present. Win 98/2K and XP. Had to rebuild the machine twice. Replaced the cradle all didn't work. On the third rebuild, it found it. Who knows why but it worked. Oh how we love computers

I have experienceed this issue a lot. And every time it is a simple solution.. (I hope this works for you!)

Simply soft-reset your Clie and hotsync again by placing the PDA on the cradle and pressing the hotsync button.

Same solution for getting the IR port to work, too...
is it a brand new Sony Clie?
