I have recently reinstalled a Sony TSL-A500C Autoloader. Using Backup Exec 8.5 on Win2K. The Auotloader is mounted in a case and is using a 68 pin Super Wide SCSI connector, to connect to the backup server.
There is power to the Autoloader and I am able to load the four cassette magazine, checks the tapes and everything seems fine hardware wise.
In the case the internal SCSI loops round to a second external SCSI port at the back of the case. Does this external SCSI port need to be terminated?
Every time I execute a command it appears in the Job Monitor as pending and never actually completes.
How do I label the four tapes for use in the autoloader. The sony manual gives little assistance on hardware and I can't find any tech docs on this.
