I am trying to allow clients on my network to connect to a VPN on another site. We have ISA server here, and Sonicwall in the othersite. I know its an ISA issue as I cann connect ok from outside the ISA.

I suspect it could be something to do with IPSEC/IKE but need some guidance.

Thanks

you need to allow the pptp protocol the ipsec and probably the gre protocol in the firewall acces rules

if you use isa server 2004 in the toolbox in protocol you have a group cal vpn and ipsec there are the all protocols of vpn try allow this type of traffic.

hope its helps

Why not look in the firewall logs at what traffic is being denied? When I get an application that needs network (internet) access but doesn't detail what ports it uses I just attempt to use it and then look at the ISA Firewall logs.

%SystemDrive%\Program Files\Microsoft ISA Server\ISALogs\

The filename will have the date and 'FWS' in it.
