I have a user that uses the SonicWall VPN client to create a tunnel our thu my HotBrick firewall to an outside vendor for a medical application. About 2 weeks ago, it suddenly stopped working. A week prior to that, I had upgraded the HotBrick firmware and setup access filters. The vendor, who setup the client software, is not able to resolve the problem. They have put the ball in my court but I had not made any changes to our firewall immediately prior to the vpn not working. Another odd thing, last Monday, it started working again and then on Tuesday it was not working. Since I have made no changes at that point, I do not believe it is a problem on my end. Unfortunately, I can't convince the user or the vendor. I am not familiar with the SonicWall client or how it is configures on the vendors end. I'm not even sure how to connect the client to the vpn.

Anyone have any thoughts? I know there is limited info but it's what I've got right now.

Thanks.

One other thing, I even added the user to a firewall group that has no access filters applied, meaning it's wide open (temporarily for testing only) and it made no difference. There was no connection even though he had open access.
