I have a Linksys BEFSR81 that I want to connect to a SOHO3. The ISP has assigned 1 static address that is now on the Linksys. I would like to know how to set up the SOHO3 for this and I don't see any documentation for this. I only see docs for a direct connection from the SOHO3 to the internet. I understand how to set up the LAN side of the SOHO3, but the WAN side is the piece that I am missing. If I just enter a "private" address on the WAN side of the SOHO3 (so that it will connect to the Linksys), won't the SOHO3 see that it's not a public address and reject the entry? Also, if someone has a idea for doing that, the 2nd part is if I can do NAT on the SOHO3 with that configuration?

Thanks for your help

Heres a couple of links about interoperability between snapgear routers and the ones you are using, maybe they could be of some use in getting ideas.

Linksys interoperability.

Sonicwall interoperability.

Good luck
