Hello. I am trying to enable port farwarding on port 80. We have a SonicWALL soho3 router, and i am logged in, but cannot find anything about port forwarding.

the reason we are doing this is to host our own website. the IT company guy we use said he can try to help me over the phone, but i cannot find anything about it, so he said he may need to come in (for a charge of an hour minimum) he said it is a five minute job, and it would be a waste to come in just for that. but he will if i cannot do it myself.

I believe you will have to create a nat rule in the soho and a matching access rule or packet filter rule to allow the traffic. I am not sure about the particular model but I know in a lot of Sonicwall models there is a wizard that you can run to walk you through this.

If he's worth his salt, he should be able to do a quick remote desktop with you and get it done without coming on site. I do that all the time with people.

As for what you want: On the left side menu, click Access. Then choose the Services tab. Look at the HTTP service, and in the Public LAN Server field, put your web server's IP address and check the "LAN In" checkbox. You've just published your web server.
